Washington, DC, January 27, 2006 –Janmedia Interactive Inc. has been contracted by Washington Gas Light Company to design and implement an interactive website utilizing a multimedia interface which supports streaming media. Washington Gas delivers natural gas to approximately 940,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers throughout Washington, DC, and the surrounding areas. Its affiliates are all in energy-related businesses, selling natural gas and electric in competitive markets, providing heating, ventilating and air-conditioning products and services.

This new venture provides Washington Gas and its affiliates the technological tools needed to create advertising and marketing related content.  These tools will enable their internal staff to post content live to the internet.  This will give full control to Washington Gas's internal staff, who will use Janmedia's Rainforest Content Management program to conduct all maintenance work.
