Washington DC – August 6, 2009: The DC based Digital Agency Janmedia Interactive has recently completed and launched Strayer University’s 2009 Virtual Commencement website. The rich media driven, highly interactive web application operates as an online venue for the University’s graduates, friends, and families to participate remotely in a comprehensive digital ceremony.

Similarly to traditional commencement ceremonies, the primary focus of the Virtual Commencement is the degree conferral. Janmedia has integrated an interactive conferral presentation, allowing all participants to have an opportunity to see a graduate’s name displayed upon a digital diploma, as well as hear the graduate’s name pronounced; recognizing both visually and audibly the individual’s achievement.

In addition to the degree conferral, Janmedia embedded a Graduate Profile feature, showcasing information about recent graduates while also communicating his or her positive experiences with Strayer University. Fellow students, friends and family alike are encouraged to submit congratulatory comments to individual Graduate Profiles posted directly to the site, facilitating greater participation by attendees of the Virtual Commencement ceremony.

Also included within the application are sections recognizing award winning students and faculty, as well as video presentations of the Key-note speech, President’s address and a general congratulations to all graduates from Strayer University.
